Mike took the time to ask about what I wanted, offered suggestions, and delivered one of the cleanest cuts I’ve had in years. Highly recommend this place whether you’re looking for a fresh cut, beard trim, or just a solid local barber shop in Vancouver.

This is the best barber in the city! I’ve been going to Main Street to see Mike for over 20 years! So, of course, I’m bias but let me tell you why. Perfect haircut every single time. Easy to book, knows your hair type and what you’re looking for. Super clean barber shop and the whole family is always so professional and friendly. Couldn’t say enough good things. Try them out! Mike and his team are the best. I’ve been everywhere in town and have hair that is difficult to cut. Not a single person has ever been able to do a cut in town with my hair but Mike and his team! Multiple people there can do it! Not only is the cut always good, they do it in a way that when it grows out, it looks good. This is not easy with my hair. It’s also affordable and a great atmosphere. The attention to detail is unmatched!

Hello Fellow Vancouverites! My name is Matthew Coulson and I am here to report another excellent, fun, team building experience and haircut at Main Barbers Hair Design! They called me with a cancellation, which I thought was just another example of their excellent customer service and follow through. I parked right in front of the shop, sat in Mike's chair, closed my eyes, heard the scissors snipping, the razor whirring, and had the confidence of a job being very well done. The scissors work alone is worth the cut. Eyebrows getting a little shaggy? One of their specialties along with fades, razor cuts, all the cool things! Our Prime Minister, Mark Carney, swung by the shop recently, to get Mike's perspective on Vancouver neighbourhood issues and priorities. A real Man of the People. I highly recommend this establishment It is an institution and top of class. The other Barbers and Stylists here are also excellent, highly skilled and definitely add to the positive, expert, can do vibe in there . A sure bet.

By far the best and most celebrated barber in Vancouver. Mike is a legend with decades of experience .. he works with precision and care each and every time. His dedication to excellence and consistency is what separates him from others in the field. But not only is Mike top tier, he holds the rest of his team accountable and at the standard he demands for his customers. So even though I have transitioned from Mike to now his staff Ann as my go to barber, even when neither of them are at the shop, I feel completely confident to let any other barber cut my hair. I have been at this shop for almost a decade, and I will be there for as long as they are open. Also, the atmosphere and banter is always fun. Authenticity is rare these days, and this shop is exactly that. Thank you Mike and Ann and Marvin and Katherine!
